Harms & Company can both lead and keynote workshops on a wide variety of topics. Our specialties are writing and intellectual property related topics, but we also cover subjects including business planning and market research, among others. The topics in the workshops below can be presented individually to smaller groups and be customized to client needs.
New Faculty Boot Camp
Offered in partnership with university/college research facilitation offices, this half-to-full day workshop covers a wide range of topics:

Mentoring Grantsmanship Teams
Offered in partnership with academic departments, this multi-session to half-day workshop is targeted towards senior faculty members and is meant to develop individual coaching and mentoring skills.

Patent databases contain a significant body of research that never reaches the public eye. Searching patent databases and learning how to read patent literature is a critical skill that both businesses and academic researchers need to develop. This half-day hands-on workshop includes practical examples of search techniques and critical reading exercises.
